Reporting Hurricane Damaged Equipment

The safety of our customers is more than a priority, it is a core value of our team. We hope that you and your family are safe and are beginning to recover from the hurricane impacts. Sunbelt Rentals is here to help you through the aftermath, including cleanup from damage associated with heavy rains, strong winds, and harmful flooding. 

As part of our recovery efforts, we would like to make it easier for you to report lost or damaged equipment as a result of the storm. 

If you did experience equipment damage or loss, please complete the following steps at your earliest convenience.

Step 1 (Talk to your insurance Company):
File a notice of claim with your insurance carrier. The information you will need can be found in your rental contract:

  • Equipment description
  • Asset number
  • Serial number
  • Rental contract number

Example:

  • JLG 80’ straight manlift
  • Asset number: 429297
  • Serial number: 300158851
  • Rental contract number: 432567

Instruct your insurance carrier to contact us directly at HurricaneRecovery@SunbeltRentals.com or by phone at 
800-667-9328 (select option #6 for Hurricane Customer Response).

Step 2 (Contact Sunbelt Rentals):

Email Hurricane recovery request from sunbeltrentals.com to advise us of the damaged unit, and include the following information:

  1. The information in Step 1
  2. Your Sunbelt Rentals account number (which can be found at the top of this page)
  3. Your insurance carrier contact information
